RDC Mark Vision usage

Hi!

I'm trying to use this software but I'm unable to do that. I've checked the forum, and the web and I can't find any useful information about usage.

User manual is just 9 pages and not very well translated. Does anyone use it? I think I don't have properly calibrated the camera because seems not to recognize the black dots. And when it found one, it moves to the origin.

Thanks a lot!

The only thing I found is this video on YTube, otherwise I don't know a thing about it. Lightburn utilizes a camera and works on your 6445 controller but I don't know what your package does that Lightburn does not? And with Lightburn you can actually chat with the developer, which is huge.

Thanks for the video Gene.

This is what I would like to do:

But I follow these steps and I can't get it to work. My version is .59 and that one is .00 and there are not the same options.

I'll check Lightburn to try to do that.

Yeah!!

I eventually get it to work as I desire!!

I've been playing with mark settings and now it cuts pretty accurate using the registration marks.

If anybody needs help about this program, feel free to ask.

Cheers!

Hi Vincente,

Could you explain me how to make RDCMark vision to recognise mark points?

I've tried with a black circle and my master don't recognize

Hi Salvatore, sorry for the delay!

What version of MarkVision are you using? I had several problems with early versions. 59 and 60 are fine.

Little Guide to RDC Mark Vision 0.60 Calibration

(I use 6mm black circles)

1. DEFINE MARK POINTS

2. IMAGE CALIBRATION

- Go to "Camera para and calibration"
- Configure "Camera param" to get good contrast and image quality
- Configure speed and power (depends on your machine)

3. RATIO CALIBRATION

- "1" Red Number, Size: 10.0 mm and then press "Cut circle"
- Go to "Manual" tab (Do not close calibration window!)
- Move the camera to find the circle you just have cut.
- Change the size of the green rectangle to match the size of the hole.
- You should move tne camera very slowly so, below U+ button set speed to 0.20 mm/s
- You should get something like this:

- Now you have numbers in blue, they should be the same (if not, get as close as possible and choose a number between them)
- Write that number in "GraphLen" and press "Calculate.
- The ratio has been calculated and in your camera window you should read 10.000 and 10.00 in blue

4. OFFSET CALIBRATION

- Now in "2" red number, Size: 30.0 mm and press "Cut cross"
- Move the camera to get a perfect match.
- You should get something like this:

- Press "Calibration"

5. SAVE SETTINGS

- Press "Export" and save the file in a safe place. If you make some changes and you want to recover this settings, just click "Import" and load the file you saved.

6.- DONE!

I hope this little guide helps you!

Kind regards! Vicente.

Hi Vincente,

thank you! Sorry for the late reply. I've getted also support from seller.

But many thanks for your tutorial! I'll save it for reference!

Can I ask you if you can make SCAN work? I'm able to make RDCMarkVision to recognize mark points and to cut vectors. But I need to make a more complex works with CUT layers and SCAN layers.

How I can make a SCAN? If RDCMarkVision cannot make a SCAN, How I can recognize origin (set docking point???) and use RDWorks?

Image

BLACK = CUT
BLUE = CUT (light power anh hight speed so wood will be only engraved)
RED = SCAN

Thanks!
