I have v8.01.47 and when I go to do text, click and dialog box comes up, put in any text and click on OK and rdworks shuts down,,gone,,have to go totally restart, it does it every time..cant do text ????

I had .47 running on two WIN7 computers, one 32 bit and one 64 bit, with no problems. I did have loads of macro export from Corel problems, and I'm playing with the .48 and .49 betas, but again no problems with text. I did have a problem back in .44 with a particular font, but that was strictly a font problem, not an RDWorks problem. Every other font worked just fine.

it is weird,,I cant figure out why it will just shut down, its like I hit the red X in corner to shut it down...soon as I click OK.in dialogue box, tried a few different texts, same..could it be width, char space, line space,shx font, true font type,???? I left as true font..width is 50% by default I guess, its there when it opens, all else blank or unchecked ?

Sorry I can't help more. I do most of my work in Corel, the set layers and cut order and such in RDWorks, hence my frustration with the export macro issue.

I haven't gotten an update from Ruida in a while, and they were talking about FINALLY getting the program to a multi page / multi file set up like most programs are today. And with their excellent chinese to English communications, I get absolutely NO progress updates.

lol...thx, Maybe when my machine arrives it will be a different rdworks version with it, i downloaded off the ruida site my .47....i do designs elsewhere too, downloaded from ruida site instead of waiting for machine to get a head start on program, just plain weird to have it shut down like that..

I have two .44 downloads, one from rabbit Laser, and the other from Thunder. The Thunder one is a bit larger file, but I suspect it's some of their graphics they add in. I never loaded it. I got a copy of .38 from Russ when I was in preparation of transitioning from Top Wisdom to Ruida, and then got the .47 from the Ruida web site back in January. Was on the .47 and fighting the Corel export, then they got their but in gear and I have a .48 and a .49 beta that don't work a whole lot better. Playing with the new camera feature has been interesting. It didn't work in .48, and kinda works in .49. Haven't figured out how to calibrate it yet, and since we're supposed to be working on the Corel export, I've not gotten any documentation on it.

well,I got a copy of .48 from laser seller I bought from,deleted .47, installed .48 and text works fine, so a glitch in the copy I had of .47 I guess..downloaded from ruida site, but must of had a bad download etc...alls good now...
