Hi all

Not much to say. I bought a Thunder Laser a couple of years ago. I like to tinker to make things but I don't have much patience. I saw an opportunity to use a laser cutter for my employer so I purchased my Nova 35 from Thunder Laser. Showed the boss what I could do. They have given me enough work to pay the machine off in 2 years, while I tinker and make the odd things for friends and family.
I have just recently run into a problem with my little air assist pump has died I think, so looking at options for improving. Maybe get a silenced air compressor. If anyone has any tips or advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Anthony. Recommend reviewing thh FAQ section and backing up your vendor setting if have not already.
As for an air supply -I run my laser air system from my shop air supply - a 5hp air compressor. I have a regulator on the air supply to the laser to reduce pressure as I deem approriate - typically 2 -12 psi depending on what Iam doing.

You could get and inexpensive pancake compressor and do something similar - I am not a fan of the air pumps that are typically supplied with Lasers.
