Greetings from Green Bay WI

I just received my new 60w 28x20 laser with Ruida.
I had planned on getting an 80w or 100w machine but I saw this used unit for 1000.00 less than a new 100w "1800.00"
You can tell the unit has been used but looks like new, and the company that sold it sells lots of new machines.
I purchased this unit mainly to cut and engrave 6mm plastic, but want the ability to cut thicker material.
I plan on making edge lit signs
After watching hundreds of YouTube videos I an still unsure what size I need.
What i would like to do is replace the 60w no name tube with a Reci 80w
Also not sure what other updates may need to be done at the same time.
The tube that's in the machine looks brand new, how can you tell if it has been energized?

Anyway it's great to be here

Have a great day my friends,

Steve

Welcome Steve. Recommend reviewing the FAQ section and backing up your vendor settings

A larger watt tube will require a matching power supply and will be longer of course.

Welcome Steve.

Higher power tubes are typically physically longer too so you may need to modify your enclosure.
