Sooo - the background is that wifey has an ECD design and manufacturing business (@caitsofstanford) that started 4 years ago with her using scissors and blades to cut shapes from felts and fabrics to create activities for Early Childhood Development products.

…then I figured we could design the shapes on Illustrator and give the files to a local service to cut…

…then we started renting a machine and I learned how to use it and started playing with the harder stuff…

…and designing making useful stuff beyond the EDC and into homeware…

…and then we acquired our own machine last month and haven’t stopped using it since.

Imagine it, sketch it, CAD it, cut it…

Oh, and I’m still cutting felt. Thousands and thousands of pieces of felt!

Welcome Tim- these machines can be very addicting- I bought one 5 years ago and it is a rare day that I don't use [or work on it]. We recommend recording your Vendor and User files in case of future problems [details in the FAQ section] and for power users you should probably check into LightBurn software. Have fun and ask any questions you may have. Gene
