Hi all.

Hi everyone. I started using a CO2 laser at my current job starting around the end of 2015. I found Russ' channel early on, and it really helped with my YouTube University degree in running a laser cutter
. We were kind of learning together.
I'm almost done heavily modifying my K40, when I find a red and black 80w 7050 laser cutter at a thrift store of all places. I just couldn't bear to see that machine looking sorry for itself in a warehouse, so obviously the most appropriate place for it to be is in my guest room (priorities). I cleaned and lubed the rails and have the motion system working. It's talking with lightburn on a Linux box (also from a thrift store, naturally). All I need to do is swap the broken tube with the included spare, plumb up the cw3000, wait for the air pump to arrive, and I'll be up and running.
Now that I have a 'real' laser that is mine to modify, I'm looking forward to seeing what this community has come up with.
