Hi,

I just bought typical red and white 80w laser but i have little problem with cutting 4mm plywood. I am getting slightly V shaped cut line. Cut line is thicker on top but nice and thin under bottom of material.
Mirrors are aligned, focus is good. There is no problem with engraving or low power cutting. Lines are nice and thin. Is it a focus lens problem?
Main problem is that i have no idea what focus lens this machine have. I think its 63.5mm - this should be good enough for cutting 4mm plywood without problems.

You will get a V shaped cut, and it's more noticeable with shorter focal lengths. I don't notice it as much since I switched to a cutting set up with strong air assist.
