Laser tube lights up great but nothing coming out

I just purchased a new tube and power supply i installed everything and started adjusting mirrors and all of a sudden the tube quit firing. It lights up just as it should but nothing and i was at the point of aligning the last mirror. any hrlp would be greatly appreciated

1. Check all the interlocks are met door/water if applicable.
2. Be sure nothing is blocking the beam path (could something fallen in the path or a mirror be way out of alingment)
3. Do a burn test at the tube to validate the tube works
If the above do not resolve the issue then the power supply is probbably the culprit - check for fuses in the pwr supply

Are you saying that the laser tube lights up with the purplish glow from end to end but no beam comes out? That would be unlikely as there is only a mirror in the output port which both reflects and allows some of the beam to escape. As Pete sez, try a piece of acrylic or even cardboard between the tube and the #1 mirror... be prepared for flames.

What is your power set to in the controller? Set to low and it won't have the power to actually do anything.
Another option is to 'hot wire' the laser PSU and make it put out a 100% test fire. If you're not getting a water alarm, then that is working. Take a short piece of wire, or even a good pair of needle nose, and short the L to ground. That will make it fire at 100%
