Hi,

I started a couple years ago with a Diode Laser (Eleksmaker 2.5w). Then a started to customize it, printed my own nozzle design for Air Assist and added a Z-Axis. But I was always looking for something bigger with more power... ;)
6-8 months ago I found a K40 on ebay "Kleinanzeigen", I talked to the seller and he said he also has a bigger one for sale... so I drove 2h to check out the Co2 lasers.... Well guess what... bought the bigger one... got a pretty good price for the K50 whith Ruidia Controller and a almost new tube.
Now I start to customize the K50. Added automatic for the exhaust fan, the ultimate AirAssist, replaced the dot Laser (now I have two Line Lasers) and I designed a new bed for cutting. Now I tried the rotary (Hot Dog Roller), which is probably really for hot dogs... (my rollers a not round and anything will move up and down and/or slip) I just wonder if you can use the parts and build a working one...
I found Russ on youtube I guess 2 years ago... nice to see someone so passioned about lasers and mechanics and always try to think outside box and around corners...

Regards
Thomas

Hi Thomas-- Russ designed [and published] a rotary that is powered by the gantry directly that works well. I built on to test and was so satisfied with it that I redesigned it using aluminum extrusion and fittings that are widely available. PM me if you are interested.

PS... No cost
