NEED HELP

Hi, first time here and first time that i started my laser.
In no way i can communicate with the laser (RDC6445G), not with the Udisk, no files as answer even they are on the disk, not with the usb connection and even with network connection, even following the manual I cannot set the subnet mask or gateway because the Z / U button does not work

Let's start by trying to connect your PC to the laser via USB.
Did you install the USB driver that comes with RDWorks?
Have you tried a different USB cable? Perhaps the one you are using is defective.
Note that the USB ports on the side of the laser are actually just "extension cords" for the USB ports on the controller. Check to see that they are plugged into the controller properly. You may also try plugging your USB cord directly into the controller. Note also that there are two USB ports - one is for a "thumb drive"; the other is for a PC. Perhaps your laser has them labelled backwards. The connection for the PC is supposed to be a USB-B port (and that's what you'll find on the controller itself). [Google USB-B if you don't know what that looks like.]

Hi Jeffrey,
Thanks for the answer but i had the USB driver installed. Even cable connected directly on controller and no result.
It is not a B port, normal USB-A port idem as the USB-A port for the disk.
I tried the LAN connection also direct to the controller, IP changed so i cant run in my network but also no connection.
Already 2 days trying, even reinstalling the software after cleaning even the register.

are you sure the wiring is correct between the control board and the USB ports on the machine? it could explain all your symptoms for USB problems.

for network, no idea.. but the fact the Z/U button does not work might indicate a global problem for the board...

Sorry, you are correct B-port on controller, i connected directly on controller, no response.
today i was able to load 2 files in to the memory of the controller via stick. But also with problems multiple times trying to read de stick, sometimes i had do shut down the laser to have a result.

Connecting via USB or LAN impossible

Je suis de la Belgique, mon Laser est de quelque jour. rien que des problèmes.
J'ai programmé un ordinateur verge (Windows 10) plus Coreldraw X7 et RdWorks, sa sa marche mais pas de connexion. Une Idée !!

salut,

de mémoire, en plus de rdworks, il faut installer le driver usb.

sinon, tu peux télécharger lightburn (version d'essai) et voir si LB arrive à se connecter, vu qu'il se démerde sans driver usb spécifique.

reste à vérifier le câblage. il se peut que la connexion entre le contrôleur et les ports USB de la machine soit foireuse. en général, il y a 2 ports, un USB "normal" et un "U-drive" qui est réservé aux clefs usb, et il ne sont pas interchangeables. à vérifier si les câbles sont pas inversés.

il me semble que ça n'a pas d'importance, mais as-tu essayé d'allumer l'ordi, puis le laser. ou l'inverse. des fois que...

si tu peux essayer avec un autre ordinateur, ça peut aider aussi.

Everything solved, RDWorks version 45 installed, correct Rudia checked and everything works perfectly.
