Retirement plaques for a crew of Spec Forces guys

I had this interesting project a couple months ago and just got finished pictures of the final result. I did only the engraved lettering, the young[ish] Green Beret who is the son in law of a customer organized everything else and assembled them. The hatchets seem to have some significance to them, I believe they carried something similar in the field and had these handmade for the plaques for their mates who are just returned from tours in Afghanistan and retiring. The plaques are quite large [24" wide I think] and there were 6-8 of them so far- I have done a couple more since the originals and carefully recorded all the parameters I used and templates. I am a Viet Nam era Mechanized Infantryman [stateside] so I have perhaps a 5% understanding of what they went thru... but was happy to help in a small way.

I make quite a few "bare" items for crafters and love to see the finished results, this one is certainly a real nice job, and the association that goes with it makes it even more special.
