All the way from Down Under

Hi everyone,
I'll try and keep this short but informative ..
3 years ago decided I wanted to do laser engraving/cutting. Looked around mainly on Ebay and came across a Chinese seller specializing in machines promising 600x900mm (blue/white) machine, RECI W7, Ruida 6445G, rotary table, honeycomb table, plus chiller all for the incredibly unbelievable price of $4000ish AUD to my doorstep.
Well I jumped at it! Few short weeks later I received my huge package. With very little assembly or adjusting I was cutting everything I could get my hands on in my shed (happy as a pig in s**t)
Would have been two or three months later when I got over the joy, fascination, and satisfaction of burning marks into a lot of different materials I discovered Russ on YouTube. It was pretty much a down hill tumble from here on in.
Looking closely at my magnificent purchase I started noticing things that just didn't seem right, such as the big ass motorbike chain and sprockets driving my table (Z axis) or the rusty wood nails holding the mirror alignment springs together, and even the fact that the table frame was welding in such a way that it was sitting 6mm or so lower from end to end ... (PM me if you want to see photos of the described workmanship) OH OH and I totally forgot to mention that every email to the professional laser company (still selling on Ebay) from this point forward was totally ignored
Anyways, totally dismantled the Blue/White, salvaged the Tube and Controller and dumped the rest of it!
So this year (2021) I starting looking for a solution to my not so unique problem of a Cheap Chinese piece of junk. I purchased the plans for the Further Fabrication Y1200 and spent the next 3 months ordering bits and pieces. But I decided not to follow the plans for various reasons and build a 1300x900 machine.
So now I'm 90% into the build and looking forward to having a machine which has good quality mirrors, motors, drives, laser mirrors and head plus lens.
That's my story in a nutshell
