Hello from Joshua Texas

One of my earliest jobs was as a CNC machinist for an aircraft company in Puerto Rico in the late 70's and early 80's. I went on to have a career in computer networking and after I left that behind I built my own CNC router and found myself back in the CNC game again. 2 years ago I designed and built a 5' x 10' CNC router and mounted a diode laser to it and did some laser engraving. Now I am building a Further Fabrication designed 2' x 4' CO2 laser. I have it mechanically complete and am about to start the electronic part of the build. CNC Router building and Laser building have a lot in common. Looking forward to getting it up and running and learning a new way to make.

Welcome Ronny- we have several people in-process with the FF laser plans. I actually bought them just because I have a laser monkey on my back and I love to build things... or even look at plans. A friend is building it as well and converted to a better rail system- which threw off the mirror tracking from #1 to #2. Good luck and ask any questions you might have, we have a lot of experience and a few good ideas among us. Gene
