I was given a 50W Chinese laser that sat idle for a year or so after a little clean up plugged her in and ran a file left in her memory. All worked with the exception of the Y scale was about 60% to large. I loaded RDWorks and created a small file to test run scans at various power percentages. About half way through the laser stopped but machine completed the file movements. All efforts to get her to fire afterwards failed including the previous file.

It has a Ruida RDC6442G controller and Cloudray MYJG-50 power supply. I believe the power supply might have been swapped at some point as the mounting screws do not align. Also believe controller to be good as I can drive the motors and load/dry run files.

I have yet to be able to find a manual or troubleshooting guide for power supply and Cloudray was less than helpful without an order number. I have pressed the test button both with interconnect wiring harness plugged in and out. There is line voltage at the power harness. The cooling fan in the unit does not run and I am not sure if it is to be on constant or if temp controlled.

Any thoughts, directions pointers to manual/TS guide would be appreciated.

If it was burning and now it is not I would suspect the per supply or tube.
Typically there are a couple indicator lights on par supplies o indicate the function.....they typically have a fuse as well.

If you inspect the pwr supply and it does not work you might be able to buy one at a cost effective price. But before you buy any repair parts I would check on the cost of a new unit.
