I have a rather large project to cut out of 1/2" Baltic birch plywood. I've had success cutting regular 1/2" plywood but am not getting thru the Baltic material. I've tried two passes at 3 mm per sec at a power setting of 65 and changed the focal height to 2 mm for the second pass. We are running with an air compressor with dryer at 10 to 15 psi. We have a 130W CAMFive laser. I need to get the speed up as well to meet a schedule deadline.

Do you have a mA meter- if so, figure out the max power percentage and use that [or a bit higher ]. BB plywood is very dense and does not cut as well as 'normal' plywood in general. If you have a lot to do, it may be worth experimenting with different lenses like GaAs 2.5 inch. Russ has explored these quite thoroughly.
