Intro

I'm currently in Salt Lake City, UT, but probably moving. I've been here for 7 years, so its probably time to move again 
I've had a laser for a couple years now. Its an omtech 60x90 100W with a 6442 controller. It never really cut well, and I figured a lot of it was due to the head mount. I think mine doesn't meet specs. That said, I did get it working doing something no one else seems to recommend, and I'm not sure why, I'll detail it below. I came here because of the head mount. Russ's mount seems to assume the linear guide is facing up, but mine is facing sideways. So I wanted to get the files to get an idea of where to start modifying. I also plan on 3d scanning the current setup which should give me the offset from the linear guide to the 3rd mirror entrance hole.
In addition to my laser, I have a Haas VF-2 and a Haas ST-20Y, an alpha tig 200 welder, and a voron trident cube 3d printer. I'd say I'm fairly proficient with most of them
Anything else I want can probably be had at a local makerspace.
Onto that alignment thing: I was centering the beam in the upper part of the L style holder. When I put the lens holder tube into the assembly, it was never quite right. Always cut at an angle. This is why I wanted to put a new mount on. It turns out, that second tube doesn't center on the main tube. So I took the lens out of the holder, and centered on the tube. Then I put the nozzle back on, still no lens, and centered it on that hole. Its now firing dead center. Yeah, it should have been obvious, but none of the videos I watched showed it. Maybe my head is just so terrible that I'm the only one who needs it
Anyhow, I still want to convert to a C style holder so I can run a 4" lens and not have the work piece be 3" from the air assist nozzle. If someone wants to save me time and point me at a mount for a side facing linear guide and a C series lens head, I'm all for it. Otherwise, I'll make a version of the lightweight one for this style laser!
