Hi I was using my 50W laser yesterday it was working as normal, all of a sudden the light in the cutting area came on,it hasn’t worked for 2 years, but as the light came on the laser been went off.the gantry was still moving. Then I noticed on the screen it says “If Restart at Power Of.
Then two boxes saying Esc and Enter
But none of the buttons on the controller work. I tried turning it off and leaving it,but when I turn it back on, the gantry homes, and then that message appears on the screen.I have been told the power unit has blown, but I haven’t got a clue, what to do.
can anyone help??
Please

Hi Andy,

Can you tell me what controller you are using?

The fact the light came on would lead me to believe there is a wiring issue. Not knowing your system, this could be a 24V lighting or knowing the Chinese it's a 230V.

Switch the machine off at the mains and follow the lighting wires back to where they connect to whatever voltage rail they are connected and disconnect. If it's a 230V setup, I'd recommend removing the lights and fitting a 24V LED strip.

Check all the wiring connections are tight and unplug / plug any connectors to the controller and control panel.

Let us know how you get on.
