Welcome to the LaserUser.com Forum, formerly RDWorksLab.

This forum is a technical community for CO₂ laser users, especially users of Ruida controllers, RDWorks, LightBurn and similar laser systems. It also covers laser maintenance, alignment, optics, extraction, upgrades, troubleshooting and compatible laser parts.

Before posting elsewhere, new members should introduce themselves in the New Members - Introduce Yourself First section.

When asking for help, please give enough detail for other members to understand the problem. A good technical question should normally include:
  • Machine make and model, if known
  • Controller type, for example Ruida, Leetro, Trocen, TopWisdom, M2 Nano, etc.
  • Software used, for example RDWorks, LightBurn, LaserCut 5.3, AutoLaser, LaserCAD, etc.
  • Laser type and power, for example 60W glass CO₂ tube, RF CO₂ source, fibre laser, etc.
  • Material being cut or engraved
  • Lens/focal length, if relevant
  • What you were trying to do
  • What happened instead
  • Any error messages
  • Settings used, including speed, power and frequency if relevant
  • Clear photos or screenshots
  • Any tests already carried out
Please use the forum search before starting a new topic. Many common problems have already been discussed, including mirror alignment, loss of power, Ruida setup, LightBurn settings, RDWorks origin/datum issues, air assist, extraction, water cooling, lenses, mirrors and laser power supplies.

If you are not sure where to post, choose the closest section and a moderator can move the topic if needed.

For safety reasons, take particular care when discussing high voltage laser power supplies, CO₂ tubes, interlocks, extraction, materials and laser radiation. Advice on the forum is shared by members in good faith, but you remain responsible for working safely and checking what applies to your own machine.
