Hello,

i bought this Laser some days ago:
https://www.ebay.de/itm/50W-CO2-Laser-G ... 2749.l2649

But i wonder a little bit what lens exactly is build in my Machine and in the videos ( i really enjoy ) from SarbarMultimedia
, like this i am looking at the moment:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tw7Jg5zStc

He is talking about a space between the Lens and the Material of about 5mm, but i get a space mesuring tool with the Mchine which is
about 20mm long.
So my space between the material is about 20mm and not 5mm.

Now i am wondering if in my Machine is another lens build in (and why )
Also i want to know what Lens ( in Zoll ) is build in ? Can i mesure this maybe ?
In the documents i did not found anything about what lens is build in :-)
But i know the Lens is 18mm, but that is more or less all i know

You will have to measure the distance - this video is the easiest way to determine the focal length of your installed lens

These links explain more info but don't specifically answer you question

the link above is useful but only some of the data answers the question you have asked.

The file below contains a table from the link above.

Thanks a lot for the Infos.
Because it is too late now, i have to check my lens tomorrow :-)

But it seams, after a very short look, a higher Focal length gives a bigger Range for the Focus.

The smaller the lens, the finer the spot size, the smaller the spot size the finer the detail you can engrave.
The larger the focal lens the thicker cutting you can perform up to a point - laser power will be a big factor in how deep you cut.

exactly.

Russ has ( i think ) the same Machine then mine is.
But his "Distance to mesure the Focus" is about only 5mm but mine is about 20mm.

Means that his Machine has another lens build in ?

He has many lens. He use to use a 1.5.
Now he uses a compound lens assembly - he has installed 2 lens in the nozzle
