Just getting ready to retire from a 30+ year telecom career. Starting the research for a laser cutter and preferred manufacturer. My other hobbies include RC building and flying, 3D printing, Animated light control of my Christmas and Halloween displays. Also the other obligatory northern Canadian hobbies, hunting, fishing, camping and photography/videography. Hoping to learn from the other contributors in order to make a mostly correct equipment decision on initial purchase and then be able to participate in the conversations as my knowledge grows.

Welcome Daryl- we are working up an article on what to look for in a laser. Check out the FAQ section, it has a lot of good info and I am sure that the members will chime in on the subject. Gene

Thanks Gene, I will have a look at the FAQ section. So far browsing through the this restored/rebuilt site and the web archive has been quite informative. I'm trying to find a supplier within Canada, but so far it looks like I may have to offshore and do the import thing.
Cheers
