Hello from Denver

I've been semi in the market for a laser cutter/engraver for several years now. More recently I've found Russ's video series on youtube and finally ordered a china blue 50w unit nearly identical to his (manual z-axis) as a result of seeing those videos. I strongly considered a 100w unit (yes I'm well aware of the china fudge-factor in the numbers) but decided the 700x500 size caused the machine to be so large I'd never get it into my basement. So I'll plan on a 70 to 80w upgraded tube/psu at some point in the future as needed. I look forward to learning and growing with the site and would love to offer any assistance if needed, I'm a bit of a well rounded geek.
