My name's Aaron, I recently purchased a Chinese 60W 700x500mm.
I started looking at the K40s and decided I didn't want to have to buy twice and opted for the larger bed to start.
My experience with laser engravers came from a mutli-head 3D printer with a 1.6W laser head and a CNC head. I've yet to play with the CNC but I liked the laser, it was just too small of an area and way too slow for anything complex or detailed. I do have some experience with lasers as I have spent time building various handheld lasers from 200mW to over 1W. I also used to work on laser anneal tools that had a 3500W Rofin CO2 laser for annealing wafers in semiconductor manufacturing.
I look forward to advancing my knowledge with the system and the various support programs needed for design.
