Laser Machine Make or Type: K40
Laser Power: 40
Laser Bed Size: 300x200mm
Home Position: TL
RDWorks Version: NA
Windows Version: 10
Accessories: I use solid works and adobe. I remove the bed of my laser and I just use shims for now. I increase the flow of my pump and added some antifreeze. I also built a rotary. I am awaiting your conclusion on the lenses before I add a new laser holder with air assist. I am looking forward to that result. Currently I have an air compressor that Blows air away from the cutting surface. Also interested in Purchasing your lens kit.

Just wanted to make sure this wasn’t a toy and that it had real world applications. Now looking for 250w + to cut thin aluminum sheets. Weary of multiple tube set up and fiber lasers hav too small of a work space. My go to CNC router, the hunt continues.

The K40 as a gateway drug is fine if you don't mind tinkering with it and adding some more to it. I deliberately went up the tree a little on a higher spec K40 of sorts. It came with a few niceties of air assist and adjustable bed and honeycomb table.

Even then I have done a bunch of tweaks to it - Some here and some shots of it https://www.eevblog.com/forum/reviews/4 ... -vollerun/

In case you haven't found it yet get a copy of Scorchworks K40 Whisperer and download Inkscape and dump Laserdraw ASAP. https://www.scorchworks.com/K40whispere ... perer.html

If you want to play with Aluminium take a look at Plasma and Water Jet Cutting too as an option over Laser.

Tim- I at first thought this was a reference to the K40 Whisperer software, but I see nothing on the site?
