Hey all!
I’ve never worked with the RDC5121 controller before, and the outputs are a bit different than on all of my big lasers. I gutted this machine, and built a whole new one for my dad. I’ve got all the motion dialed in, but now I’m down to 6 little connections, and I’m lost!
I’m attaching the power supply pin outs, a photo of the back of the controller, and a pic of the power supply for reference. Looking at the controller, can anyone tell me what goes to what? It originally had a potentiometer for the power, but the controller puts out PWM, so that’s throwing me. Also, the water protect switch, and laser test switch, which I assume I no longer need, as the controller has a “pulse” button like all other ruida. I’ve been banging my head on this for a couple nights, and I’ve gotten nowhere. Of course I drive to Florida tomorrow for thanksgiving, and my dad is excited for me to bring the laser back to him. I’m soooo close! Could anyone offer any assistance? Thanks a million!!! -steve
RDC5121 k40 upgrade, I’m stuck!

This is how I believe it should go, but I am probably wrong.
The L-AN, LPWM+ and LPWM- are all sort of confusing. I’m guessing that takes the place of the analog potentiometer? So I can just ignore them?
Thanks again!

This is the document I'm basing my guess on.

Couple of mistakes, I think.
L-AN is an analog level, connect it to IN on the PSU.It's the equivalent of the wiper on the pot.
On the PSU P needs to be connected. Either to G with a link, or to WP on the controller.
Otherwise, I think you're OK. Presumably you have 24V from a differeny PSU to the controller?

And I just went for it! The K-40 supports the Ruida just fine, and does PWM. ! Awesome!
Sorry to be so frantic! I'll post up the wiring diagram when I get back, as I could not find one anywhere that referenced a Ruida Upgrade on a K-40.
Thanks! -Steve
