Hello,
I am a high school technology teacher. I teach classes such as CAD, Architectural Design, Robotics, Engineering. I wanted to introduce my students to laser engraving. Due to my limited budget, I purchased a red and black Chinese laser engraver. I have had it for about a year and a half now. Still far from an expert but I'm proud of the things that my classes have been able to produce so far. I am always trying to learn more about laser engraving/RDworks and that is how I found this forum.

Welcome Eric- bless you for teaching our children, and something interesting and with a future as well. The latest Make: magazine has a very cool robotic cat that was presented as open source but the coding is open source, not the plans for the laser cut parts. I have a young protege that I am considering it for. Gene
