It's also worth mentioning that there are a few things RDWorks does that LightBurn doesn't yet:
- Combining of scanned images
- Seal / Overlap
- Lead in / out
- User-driven overlap removal
- Single line fonts
All of these are either planned or already in progress, but will take some time to complete.

When optimizing cut parameters I often send the same file multiple times to the machine, always changing it a little bit before. Sometimes I am not sure if I did sent the file after a modification or not.
Could you make this message dissappear if a change was made in the model after the file was sent to the controller? Another thing is the layer order: This is reset to default if the geometry is deleted and then imported again via dxf file. So if the needed layer order does not match the default order, things mix up, e.g. cuts will be done before scans.
Maybe you can consider these topics for future versions

I purchased LB shortly after receiving my laser. Being a new user, and not being "embedded" into any certain ecosystem (as the above user, with all his RD files), I figure I'd commit myself to the LB ecosystem (ie, LB files). After playing with the "Chinglish" settings, menus, etc in RDW, I found LB to be much easier to navigate. In addition, as I've seen several updates come out, LB only gets BETTER. I thought this would be the case, which is one reason I went with LB from the start. In addition, while I need to purchase a camera and create a mount, the scan/cut aspect of LB is very appealing to me as well.
I'm pretty...ahem..."frugal" (my wife's words, when I scowl at her after she calls me "cheap"), but I think LB is a very worth investment. As Lightburn Admin says, it's really underpriced, IMO. I haven't gotten into photo engraving yet, but from what I've seen, LB even offers engraving/photo manipulation on part with other standalone programs that cost a couple hundred bucks. As I already use CorelDraw, I think the combo of Corel and LB will be great.

Why does lightburn have a 'discount code' option, if their are no discount codes ???

Because we have vendors and resellers who use it to purchase with a vendor discount. It’s also just a thing that is provided by our online shopping platform.
LightBurn’s price is likely to increase a bit when we release V1.0 - I’m told constantly by vendors and customers that we’re charging too little.
