Hi fellow enthusiasts,
Just introducing myself. I have just bought a new Oree Laser 1000 x 600mm CO2 100w laser from China after lots of research and watching Russ’s videos.
I own and run a print Company here in Australia and we are looking at branching out into the work of laser cutting and engraving. We didn’t want to spend big bucks on the big brands but opted to go Chinese instead, keeping costs down and letting us experiment and get to know how these machines actually work.
I am also into electronics and arduino so looking forward to making some cool projects to compliment these hobbies.
Our machine has landed and looks great but I have yet to actually make a burn as yet as I am still working out exhaust plumbing etc. we opted for the newer Ruida touch screen controller which is great (just make sure you are wearing your glasses!).
Anyway, I look forward to chatting with you all and sharing my experiences and upgrade paths.
Regards, Rob.

Welcome and if your distant Relatives come from around Lincoln in the UK maybe a very distant cousin. My Grandfather jumped ship way back in the 1930's and there is only a few of us left bearing the name from his illegal immigration.
