I converted these files from the Boss website to be more compact and tailored them to the 100w Bodor. They can be easily changed to suit your machines power percent readings (for instance my 130w laser will only run safely to 45%) Most of the colors unfortunately are not layer colors in RDworks so you cannot transfer them directly to your layers, but they work fine. Any RGB (computer color) will work- but not printing colors (cmyk). I will upload several speed settings, they can be put on a cord or chain with the machine for a quick reference. Hope this helps someone. The files will work for any machine- determine your maximum safe % of power and delete any colors that exceed that power %. I normally will do some of these tests on any new material that I work with and keep them on a chain for reference.

I was just looking at this post and read the "my 130w laser will only run safely to 45%". How is this determined? I just started learning on a 130watt laser.

As I mentioned in your last post- you really need a mA meter to determine what the safe current limit is- for my 130w EFR [brand] tube it is
30 or32 mA. Current and power setting in RDworks are different on each machine. Each branded tube will have a webpage with this info- there are a lot of no name tubes as well... then it is more vague, you can get an idea what it should be by measuring the tube. Here is a good start
viewtopic.php?f=139&t=3479

I recommend reading as much of the FAQ section as you can- a lot of info there.

Gene, You indicated you had a similar machine so let me ask this. if we set the max power at the 130watt machine to say 50%. in RD Works we set a program to 100%, Would the cutting power on the project be up to 50% of the machine's power or 50% of the max power.

If you set a power level in RDw and then run the file you created the laser will use that power. The power setting on the control panel is for the pulse button, etc. I have always mounted a laptop to my machines and run the files directly- that may be advantageous for your space too?
