As I recall [it has been 4 years] the two desktop 100w reci Bodors I worked on had Reci PSs, which were easily limited to the safe max mA. I didn't look at all of your links but you may want to consider matching tube and PS?

I suspect it would have been the DY-13 based on the little information there is out there. It is in my maybe pile for that historical reason but my feeling is it gets pushed a bit close to it's limits with the W2.

Reci themselves don't seem to sell or give a preference to any specific Power Supply manufacturer currently but it may have been different in the past?

This is the one you are seeing? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1584905 ... 1b15Al3Yer

I think the Chicoms are good at dragging brush to hide their trails and we will never be able to really pierce the fog [smog].
I still think I recall [?] that the Bodor PS was branded as Reci.

One thing the Chinese are 'good' at is Branding and in particular Rebranding to look like the real deal  There is chatter of Reci tube counterfeits and maybe at some stage Reci themselves did sell branded power supplies. Believe only about 1/2 of what you read on the internet including on forums ;)

EDIT Interesting found a NLA Reci branded power supply for the W2https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32781111625.html

Electronically and Electrically when the top is removed you can reverse Engineer the bits that matter and plenty of that is done on more conventional power supplies and other Chinese origin gear. My thoughts on allowing a little headroom are based on some of that plus a bunch of personal experience with that sort of gear.

While it may not be the case with Laser PS's in some cases if it says 1A maximum it often means the components maximum rating is 1A they chose to base that rating on but often they forget the other component that lets the smoke out a 0.5A
