The dimensions are on the Cloudray web site. I know I had to extend the fascia for the 6445G from my Top Wisdom. The physical hole wasn't much bigger, but the touch pad is larger so it needed a bigger surface area under it.

Hello,
Thanks Dave: The screen readout said "Top Left". I did switch to lower right to make sure and still the same issue.

Thanks Gene: Yes, I am aware of the size difference. There was an Youtube from Matt's Workshop who made the switch and 3D printed a housing for it.

Hello All,
I finally had some time to take a seriously closer look. As the wires enter the motor the wire housing is broken.
Label on the motor
23HD450Y-31A1
FH160319
Stepper Motor

2M542 driver board.

Question: Where can I get a new motor? Quick look didn't have a good return. What would be the replacement?

Question: How can I ohm out the motor to see it is ok?

Quick check tells me that the 23 means it's a NEMA 23 stepper. See if you can find an amperage marking on it, otherwise I'd go with what ever amperage your other motors are. Match up your shaft size / length and you should be good to go. I have some used ones here south of Kansas City if you're interested. Heavy duty so you should be able to run just about anything with them. The amperage shown on the motor is the max, not the min. Mine are 3A.

So it seems that I need to get a new controller board. Does that sound about right?

Then if that is the next step, do I get the 6442 or 6445? I have the 6442 now and would the 6445 be a logical upgrade?

Thanks for your help.

Bit late to the party but he is a set of dimensions for the 6445 in the PDF below. The inset portion is accurately measured so the actual hole might need to be eased a smidge.

Re the broken wire it is likely enameled or coated copper. Scrape that coating off and you should be able to resolder it to the connector block. Just watch the heat on that block.

Here is a jpg of Brother Tim's pdf.- it is a lot closer to the 6442 than I was thinking mostly- the face is larger, body is almost the same.
