Both of those are on Matt's YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYmaUP ... TOw/videos

He has the basic Ruida setting in his switch from Top Wisdom to Ruida video, and a video specifically on a remote pulse box. I just paused the videos screen to screen as I set my new one up. I do remember he had to hit escape as it powered up to keep it from banging the side as it tried to home the first time. I just disconnected my drivers until I had it set in the controller, powered down, reconnected, and up it came.

I have just found something unusual, when the machine is powered off, when I move the pantograph back and forward the screen on the ruida control lights up and the faster I move it the brighter the screen? is this normal?

Yes, the steppers are generating voltage and back feeding it enough to make the panel flicker. You can test coil loops on a stepper the same way. Pick a pair of wire and put a LED in. Give it a twist back and forth. If the LED flickers you're on a coil.

I did just have this problem with what seems to be the same symptoms - the faint glow at the input side of the tube and laser output. The power supply was the issue.

Thanks to everybody's input once again, problem sorted it was the power supply, i was intrigued to find that the old unit was only 50w in a 60w machine so must have been working to its limit,

Most power supplies are a + / - one power range. I'm looking at an SPT TR90 to replace my EFR 80W. My MYJG80 is specifically listed as capable of powering the SPT TR90 tube. Depends on the voltage / current capabilities of the power supply and the tube requirements.
