Hi,
My name is Jos. I am French, I have lived and worked in England for many years.
I started with CNC, all learnt on the net from scratch. I have built my own routers and controllers and thoroughly enjoy the hobby.
I was curious about lasers and bought a 6W blue laser from OPT Laser, a couple of years ago. This was mounted on the Z axis of a small Stepcraft machine. It works, quite fun but very frustrating, very slow compared to the "Real" thing.
Then I discovered the RDWorks Learning Lab series and that was it.
I have watched Russ in action for about a year and enjoy every video or "show" I should say.
I very much appreciate Russ's ingenuity, tenacity, good humour and is desire to learn and to teach others.
Since I am getting on a bit, grand father, great grand father, I decided It was best to buy a machine that would be fine right out of the box, hopefully.
The one selected needed to be compact enough to go through the workshop door. I now own a British made laser machine, a CTR TMX65, installed two weeks ago.
So, it is all uphill from now, bur I know that help is at hand.
Jos

Welcome Jose- I was interested in your machine so I googled it. Looks like a quality machine and built in the UK. I am also in the upper age range and understand the feeling that time is becoming limited. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Gene

Hi Gene, Pete
Thanks for your welcome.
I am not sure whether I can ask a question at this stage or post it in "Photo engraving".
I am looking for the file used by Russ in RDW Learning Lab 136 which explains scan line offset and how to calculate the response time of the high voltage power supply of the machine.
Or, should I ask Russ by private mail.
Thanks
Jos
