We are going to make rubber band and geared cars for our students. I am after some files or advice on making gears and sprockets. Any help/files would be greatly appreciated.

also, you can use the basic gear generator from inkscape.
for the material, mdf and plexiglas could work but are not at all designed for. i think you can use delrin which is a plastic with low friction, but it is more expansive and difficult to find.

Hello All
https://geargenerator.com/ is awesome however is there a program that does the same that will not charge when downloading dxf files?
I have this but not exactly gear however meshing sprockets could still work.

I think that Fusion 360 has a gear generator add-on function, I can't open it now to check but here is an instructables link that shows an alternate workflow for modeling gears that might be helpful. F360 is free for hobbyists and students and would be very helpful I would think.
