Gene, I'm still awaiting shipment. I wasn't able to find any information beyond the listing. I'm taking a gamble. My understanding (complete guess) was that the Z was stepper controlled. I'm only assuming this because its brother 1 step up has auto focus. But we know what happens when you assume. Once I get it i'll update.

I imported a machine from China 4.5 years ago and aside from some learning problems it has been wonderful. It is better to be lucky than smart.
