Hi all,
My name is Kevin and I live in Rochester NY.
I've recently retired from the USPS after 34 years. My hobby has been woodworking since high school and that's what I figured I'd do in retirement.
My plan was to buy an Avid CNC router when I got sidetracked by a series of videos on YouTube by a guy named Rob at Further Fabrication. I watched them all a couple times and thought "wow!", I think I'd like to build a laser cutter/engraver too! So I bought his plans, ordered lots of stuff and have gotten it about 90% complete. I had some issues once I fired it up (no laser installed yet, maybe today!) with homing the laser head but have resolved that.
I appreciate you accepting me as a new member and look forward to learning from you guys.
Thanks,
Kevin
