Hello all.

My name is Steve Carlton. I am a Yorkshire man retired in Washington State.

I mainly used my machines for craft type work, I have done a lot of illuminated acrylic signs for a local games store.

I started with a Jamieson 60 W laser machine but it died recently. I decided to replace it with an OMTech 50W which is the latest version of Russ's Blue machine. I felt confident in purchasing this machine because of all the videos Russ has posted.

A major advantage of the machine was also the fact that it uses Lightburn rather the LaserCut software that ran the Leetro controllers in my old machine.

Using Russ's videos I have greatly improved my engraving and cutting skills and will now embark on modifying this new machine.

Welcome Stephen- I would advise starting with the FAQ section which will explain how to save your machine Parameters which you may need later. I started with Lasercut/Leetro and agree that Lightburn is a huge step up. Gene
