Hello, I have a blue/white 50wt china blue laser and it does not have a pass through door. Has anyone modified one of these to add one? If so, how did you do it?
Thanks for your help!

I have looked at this idea for some time and it's on my list of mods to my Chinese cyclops. I am currently modifying the access panels to swing out like doors and not raise up or down they come from the factory. For the pass thru' I don't like the fact that the U frame will have to be cut in order to achieve the functionality. I would like a bit more clearance in the vertical plane when I am feeding material. The clearance between the laser head and top of material (7 mm) is to narrow in the horizontal plane to the U frame in front. The rear is fairly simple but the front will require surgeons touch to make it work. I will eventually get to it with a metal saw or the plasma cutter.

This is my pass through door mod.
With this lenght extender I can feed bigger material into my cutter if I lower the table enough.
The only annoying thing is, that the red laser pointer has to be unscrewed every time, maybe I should make a connector...

Brilliant idea, exactly what I was thinking to do.
May I ask what materials types you used, ID and OD ?
Yes, you would need a plug with a male to female extension.
Maybe the same extension for your air tube as well ?

For the air I have a longer tube and for the materials, I have no idea. A friend of mine made it and he used what he had laying around but I thing something lighter, like alu, would have been good.
Be sure to check everything three times and adjust ID and OD to your needs!
