Hello All,
My name is Ian Langley. I grew up in Newcastle, Australia and moved to the US in 1997. I am a Ham Radio Operator (NA5Y) and was looking for a new hobby in addition to my playing around with RF and Electronics. I have been fascinated by Laser Cutters/Engravers and my wife was kind enough to buy me a 50W laser. I am very new to cutting and love Russ' video collection so thought I would join up
The Cutter I have is one of the many 50W ebay Lasers. It was delivered to my door in a big wooden box and took my wife and I some struggling to get it up onto the table. I use Lightburn software from my Linux laptop close by the cutter. I am currently experimenting with materials, lenses and cutting capabilities.
