I have a new laser and am having a bit of an issue connecting it to my pc, my first question , is it better to connect directly to pc via a usb cable or ethernet cable.
Im just getting communication error.
got this file but its not much use to me as i dont speak chinese.also got some usb driver instructions but they are also in chinese.
Im a designer and work on pcs all day, just not a networking kinda guy and im sure its simple really.
Does anybody have these files in english please or can help at all.
Iv done a search and tried sorting it but no luck yet

cheers

Control Software: LIGHTBURN
RDWorks Version: RDw .19 & Lightburn
LightBurn Version: Latest
Ruida Controller: RDC6442
Windows Version: Win 10 Pro
Accessories: I have a combining lenses, pin tables [homebuilt], honeycomb tables , wireless remote, Modifed Ultimate Air Assist, home built non-powered rotary device, PrusaMK4 and Mini Prusa printers.

I would recommend ethernet- USB connection has always been iffy with RDworks. I think that it is easier to setup Lightburn so you might want to try their trial version- their program rocks. You can find the IP address in the menu on the machine. I would also recommend saving your Vendor and User files for future catastrophes [details in the FAQ section]. Gene
