When I purchased my machine, the seller included a laptop that already had the software installed. I'm considering selling my laser to buy a newer model, but plan on keeping the laptop to use with the new machine.
Is the process of connecting the computer to the laser as simple as installing RDWorks, then connecting the computer to the machine via the USB cable?
The RDWorks manual didn't go into a lot of information about connecting the computer to the machine, perhaps because it's as simple as my previous sentence...?

Yes, as long as you connect to the correct port. Some machines has a female USB port that only reads rd files and won’t recognize the laptop.Eric Adams wrote: Sun Jan 17, 2021

Fire extinguisher (for big fires)
You have to install the USB driver first. Then install RDWorks second. Finally, connect the laser to the PC using the USB cable, noting the difference in ports as Pete pointed out.
