Awesome work. Engraving photos is something that I am enamoured with But have had zero luck.

I'm looking forward to his reply as well, but check out this video from Full Spectrum Laser - they're discussing focal length. Looks like the shorter lens gives drastically better engraving results. Comparison photo around the 4:40 mark.

Hi. High level tips lol.. Dont try to make the end product look like a pic. All good as a hobby. But as a business, I am not so sure. My approach is to be different than a black and white photo. I call it engraving/carving. If you are to advertise this product, you must me able to get a result with any picture. As you probably know, not all pictures will work , if you are trying to replicate a picture, but all pictures will work as a engraving/carving, and if you know multiple techniques. Some, I do as a picture, others I modify. It comes down to a lot of trial and error and having an eye for it. I did 400 in 2 months before Christmas and there wasnt one photo that I wasnt able to do. But there were a few I had to do I few times. But I have a planer, so I can plane off the engraving and start again. I make them up to 700mmx500mm. They are made out of 21mm pine tongue and groove. With slight adjustments from the file ,you can then laser canvas and make another product. I have just started selling a wooden frame, a 30mmx400mm canvas and 2 easel stands, to beginners. The frame comes all stained and all that is required is to line up the pulse with the spot on the masking tape. remove the tape , have the correct ,messurements , and press start. I will also edit the original photo and email it back, at a small cost. If you want to see the variety of what I do , message me privately. Here is a pic of the frame and a canvas pic on canvas, of my wifes sister and a pet wild bird we raised
