I'm brand new. Trying to initiate a RM960 from RM Lasers with lightburn. My controller panel is indicating water error 1. My chiller is operating at 20.7 C and verified by a thermometer I have added in the chiller tank which indicates 71.5 F. Pump is operating and I disconnected the return line from the machine to the chiller and it is pumping just fine. Can't find an answer in any of the documentation i have. Any suggestions?

I should add that I'm not sure if I have version indicated on my profile. I couldn't determine a method of finding my version.

There is a water sensor in your machine ....sounds like it may have failed.

If you are sure your chiller is working correctly and it won't fail, have you tried deactivating the water alarm sensor feature via RDWorks? If the sensor is bad, you can at least get your machine running until a new one arrives.

this error is indicated when those 2 conditions occur :
- the controller is configured to control the water flow
and
- there is no signal at the pin for waterflow on the controller
there should be a sensor somewhere on the flow path that detects if there is a flow, and this sensor is connected to a pin on the control board, this is the one labelled WP1 as Water Protection for laser 1 (in case you have 2 tubes, there is a pin for securing laser2) (see attached image).
if you have no sensor, or the sensor fails even if the flow is ok, you should disable water protection security on the control board, which can be done through RDworks. you can also check connectivity between the sensor and the board, as it may be possible the wire is not correctly connected on both sides.
