Hey Guys and Girls.

Hope everyones safe and sound during this pandemic.
Fingers crossed there is light at the end of the tunnel now.

Brought my first laser during the original lockdown, this was a 3018 diode laser just to test the water, after a number of successful but painfully slow projects, I took the plunge and purchased a 130W 6090 Chinese laser with Ruida 6445 controller.
I must say that the speed at which this thing churns out work is impressive.

upgrades so far:
Stepper motors replaced with servo motors
CW-5000 chiller
Air pump replaced with a silent Air compressor (24L @ 8bar)

Now to start making some money with this thing. :)

Hi Rich, I'm currently considering replacing my air pump with compressed air and I wondered what sort of CFM consumption is required? - I'm considering getting one of the silent ones and looking at a 24L model rather than using my old (very noisy) 50 litre compressor...

Interesting to hear you've swapped over. What made you do this? - are you trying to avoid some specific issue or increase speed without losing accuracy?
