Like many of you, I started with a K40. Made many significant modifications and had a lot of fun. I didn't take long to outgrow the K40.
I am in my 3rd career at age 68. I spent 40 years running factories. Now, I get to teach others how to. I work from home and travel as needed. Last year our home was destroyed by the two hurricanes that hit Lake Charles. It is still being rebuilt. I found in this experience a need to look at income opportunities that allow me to be home more. I have two disabled adults living with me. This prompted me to upgrade my laser. Sadly, I purchased the wrong one. Due to the space limitations in our rental, I decided to buy a Full Spectrum PS-20 (it would fit through the doors). The machine itself is fine. The controller and software are not. I had given myself a year to learn and develop a side hustle business. I am spending all of my time working on the laser.
I successfully upgraded the laser power supply and installed a 1250mm 60W tube. RE3 is very limiting so I purchased a RDC6445G and am currently installing it. That's why I am here. I look forward to learn from the experience of others.

After reading your comments I believe you are a man who does not quit or let adversity stand In the way of progress….good on ya Sir.
Be sure to backup your vendor setting . They are a silly lost and difficult to recover.
There are a hand full of folks working with the 6455- hopefully there is a tidbit of useful info you can use here.
