I think that I damaged the transistor or optocoupler that is connected to the Status pin.
I am getting wonky voltages from that pin. It won't go to zero voltage after it has been triggered and then untriggered. It stays at 12v. Same with the Wind pin, after it was triggered.
Can you tell me if the Status pin's transistor or optocoupler is in position Q5? Or is it somewhere else?
The item at Q5 is definitely giving me different measurements than the like items at Q3, Q4, and Q6.
Much appreciated.

The item I think is damaged is circled.

Tim, did you find a coin-style battery for memory backup installed on your Ruida controller? At first, I thought I saw one in the upper right area of your second picture. After downloading and enlarging the picture, it looks like that round silver thing might just be a rounds silver quality control sticker of some sort. It appears to have "Q5 Passed" written on it.

Not sure if anyone is replying to this thread anymore, but I'm curious about Chad's issue with Optocoupler or transistor. Also, are those Optocouplers thru hole or surface mount, I cant quite tell from photo but with connector on other side I feel like it should be surface mount. I saw somewhere else someone said they were Toshiba785's. Any part number or guess on the transistor?

The smd packages shouldn't be too hard to replace, they are of a reasonable size. I only see 1 picture.
Does anyone have any kind of schematic for these animals?
How was this diagnosed?
Thanks

Tim [the OP] has moved on I am afraid- he was into electronics and a lot of fun. I have never seen a controller schematic anywhere, personally.
