Hi from the UK and thank you for allowing me into this void of knowledge that you all share, its a steep learning curve. At the start of lock down, I decided to set myself a big challenge and build a laser cutter from scratch based around the Ruida RD6445G along with a CW5200 chiller and the knowledge of Rob at further fabrications. It has taken me nearly a year and a half to design some of the parts work out all the wiring and also save the money to drip feed this project but I am finally finished at last. Just need to spend time working out the software and resolving it engraving ovals instead of circles issue I have, its cutting circles ok so I know it is not mechanical.

Looking forward to learning more as I go along on here and hopefully sharing with others in need.

Welcome Gareth- we have several people who have built or are building lasers from those plans, so I am sure we will be able to help you along. I trust you have been watching Russ' videos on Youtube [Sarbarmultimedia], between that and actually building your machine you should be a guru soon. Gene
