Hi. My laptop stop communicating with the laser. I can use a usb stick but not the cable. I connected the laptop straight to the rd6445 and this made no difference. I thought it was the rd6445 and bought another and had the same problem. I bought another cord and plugged it straight into the 6445, thinking , maybe the extension usb cable was faulty, but it still didnt work? Any ideas
Thanks
Scott

If you are using RDworks it is notoriously finicky about USB connections- Ethernet works better, and Lightburn works better yet. Not sure about how LB works with USB as I have never tried it but they have a free trial if you wanted to try it. Gene

Hi Scott
I use Lightburn with a USB cable and it works great. I found that Lightburn hands down is easier to use than RD Works and well worth the cost of it. Just my 2cents.
