New member greeting

Greetings!

I'm located in Albany Oregon USA.

We've had our machine since March, did most of the typical mods as soon as it arrived, used it lightly since then...never enough time. We purchased the machine to make some products for our existing retail shop and have enjoyed using it and exercising our creativity. Purchasing, receiving, modding and using our machine has been relatively painless and we are very happy with our purchase...no "buts", this thing has been great and a lot of fun. First time laser users to boot!

We primarily use the machine for wood & leather and are starting to experiment with glass, pottery, and coated metals.

I have a professional background in aviation & aerospace so I have a firm grasp on the fundamentals but I'm eager to learn more of the technical specifics of the hardware and software involved with the machine, thanks in advance to all those that share their knowledge and experience to help flatten the learning curve.

Any users local to my area interested in networking please feel free to reach out, not sure what I could help with but I do like to think I have a bitchin' set of tools and some skills.
