Just building core xy 2020 replacement for standard rails and gantry.

Hi, fairly new to all this, I have a K40 with a couple of basic mods, lights, air assist, removed the daft cutting clamp and base. Mine came with a safety switch and a decent fan but I have installed an inline fan anyway.

Removed the restrictive exhaust and have a decent airflow across the work if the lid is propped open a bit. I have cut a slot at the front but due to the internal frame this doesnt help much. It will be useful when the new internals go in. I am putting together a core xy frame which will give me a 320mm x 620mm cutting area, keeping the power supply inside the case.

Also just received a new board, MKS DLC32 2.1, which will be installed next weekend, with luck.
