You will find pics of the latest (and biggest) version of my laser cutter. I try to explain different problems i had, and which solutions i choose.
First of all, the project:
20x20 and 40x20 alu profil, X / Y rails on Vslot.
Note that I choose to enclose the tube and the first mirror.
There will be enough place for a 160cm tube (130W).
Working size approx 1200mm x 850mm
Nema 17 closed loop for X + GT2
Nema 23 closed loop for Y + HTD3M
Old nema 23 stepper for Z + HTD3M
Nema 17 stepper for U axis - rotary
Home made 3D printed x carriage
X cariage, nema 17 closed loop is a good choice, I bought Rtelligent T42 42A03EC.
Z level system with T8 screw (too light, prefer T10 or T12 or 1605 screw)
